若干態（胎𧶘反王注楚辭云態姿也高誘注呂氏春秋云態度情貌也說文從心能聲也）。

若干態 ('many postures/attitudes'; the last character is pronounced with the fanqie 胎 + 𧶘. Wang [Yi's] commentary on the Chuci says: "'Tai' (態) means demeanor (姿)." Gao You's commentary on the Lüshi chunqiu says: "'Taidu' (態度) means the appearance of feelings." The Shuowen says it is formed from [the radical] 心 ('mind') with 能 as the phonetic component).
