淵泓（上於玄反毛詩傳云淵猶深也說文淵亦深泉也從水𣶒聲也𣶒音同上下烏宏反廣雅泓猶水深澄也說文云亦下深大也從水弘聲）。

淵泓: The upper character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 於玄. The commentary on the Classic of Poetry says: '淵 is like deep.' The Shuowen jiezi says: '淵 is also a deep spring; it follows 水 with 𣶒 as phonetic.' The pronunciation of 𣶒 is the same as above. The lower character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 烏宏. The Guangya says: '泓 is like water being deep and clear.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It also means deep and vast underneath; it follows 水 with 弘 as phonetic.'
