拯濟（拯字無疊韻取蒸字上聲呼之杜注左傳云拯救助也方言云拯扶也說文從手丞聲下精細反孔注尚書云濟救渡也杜注左傳云益也賈注國語云成也說文從水齊聲也）。

拯濟: The character 拯 has no rhyming binome; taking the character 蒸, pronounce it in the rising tone. Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: '拯救 means to assist.' The Fangyan says: '拯 means to support.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It follows 手 with 丞 as phonetic.' The lower character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 精細. Kong's commentary on the Book of Documents says: '濟 means to rescue and ferry across.' Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: 'To benefit.' Jia's commentary on the Guoyu says: 'To accomplish.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It follows 水 with 齊 as phonetic.'
