鞭榜（下伯孟反考聲云使船也王逸注楚辞云榜船擢也又注云擢亦檝也說文從木旁聲也）。

鞭榜 ('whipping and beating'; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 伯 + 孟. The Kaosheng says: "To row a boat." Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: "'Bang' (榜) is the oar of a boat." Another commentary says: "'Zhuo' (擢) is also an oar." The Shuowen says it is formed from [the radical] 木 with 旁 as the phonetic component).
