髁肋 (Pelvic bone and ribs: kǒu + huà fanqie. The Zilin states: “髁 means the hip bone,” referring to the waist bone. 䯊 is pronounced kǒu + yà fanqie. The second character is pronounced láng + dé fanqie. The Shuowen jiezi states: “Rib bones.” The character takes the radical 肉 and the phonetic 力, written 肋. The vinaya text writes it with the radical 革 as 勒; the Shuowen jiezi says this is “the halter and bit for a horse's head,” which is not the correct character form.)
