鼾睡 (Snoring in sleep: xià + qiě fanqie. The Shuowen jiezi states: “The sound of breathing in sleep.” The Ziyuan gives the pronunciation hū + gān fanqie; this pronunciation is used in Jiangnan. The vinaya text writes it in the three forms 哻, 吁, and 嚊, which are not correct character forms.)
