一杍 (One reed: zhì + sì fanqie. The Shuowen jiezi states: “That on a loom which holds the weft; namely, the modern reed.” When Zengzi's mother threw down the shuttle and stepped off the loom, this was it. 筬 is pronounced chéng.)
