Pouring and splashing (澆灒: also written with the two forms 𠵖 and 濺, same; fanqie 子 + 旦. The Shuowen jiezi states: "Water soiling and sprinkling." In the Shiji, in the phrase "within five paces spattering the great king's clothes with the blood from my neck," it is written with the character 濺).
