竿蔗（音干下又作柘同諸夜反今蜀人謂之竿蔗甘蔗通語耳）。

竿蔗 (Pronounced gān. The second character is also written as 柘, the same, fanqie 諸夜 [zhè]. Nowadays the people of Shu call it '竿蔗' [pole-cane], whereas '甘蔗' [sugarcane] is the common term.)
