斟酌（古文[甚*斤]同之任反說文斟勺也國語王斟酌焉賈逵曰[甚*斤]猶取酌行也廣疋云斟酌益也律文作斟未見所出也）。

斟酌 (In ancient script, identical to [甚*斤]. Fanqie 之任 [zhēn]. Shuowen: 斟 means to ladle. Guoyu: 'The king deliberated (斟酌) on it.' Jia Kui says: '[甚*斤] is like taking and ladling to administer.' Guangya states: '斟酌 means to increase or decrease.' In vinaya texts it is written as 斟; its origin is not yet known.)
