貪餮（又作飻同他結反說文貪也舊律本多作饕飻他勞反案左傳縉雲氏有不才子貪於飲食冐於貨賄𣫍積不知紀極人民謂之饕飻杜預曰貪財曰饕貪食曰飻）。

貪餮 (Also written as 飻, the same, fanqie 他結 [tiè]. Shuowen: greedy. Old vinaya editions mostly write taotie (饕飻), with 他勞 [tāo] fanqie. Note that the Zuozhuan states: 'The Jinyun clan had an unworthy son who was greedy for food and drink, covetous of goods and bribes, accumulating without knowing limit or end; the people called him Taotie.' Du Yu says: 'Coveting wealth is called tāo; coveting food is called tiè.')
