結縷（爾疋傳橫目孫炎云三輔曰結縷今關西饒之俗名苟屢草也律文作茄[卄/廔]案茄說文加歌二音爾雅荷芙蕖其莖茄此則於義無施[卄/廔]字未詳所出一本作茄蘆音加下力胡反爾疋葭蘆郭璞曰即葦必當誤耳）。

Knotgrass (結縷: The *Erya* commentary: 'Horizontal eyes.' Sun Yan says: 'In the Sanfu region it is called *jielü*; it is abundant in the Guanxi region today, colloquially called *goulü* grass.' In the vinaya text it is written as 茄[卄/廔]. Examining *jia* (茄), the *Shuowen jiezi* gives the two pronunciations *jia* and *ge*; the *Erya* states: 'The lotus is *fuqu*; its stem is the *jia*.' In this context it has no application. The character [卄/廔] is of unknown origin. One version reads 茄蘆, pronounced *jia* followed by the fanqie *li* + *hu* [lú]; the *Erya* has *jialu*, of which Guo Pu says: 'that is, reeds.' This must surely be an error.).
