祝詛（說文作詶之授反詛也古文詛今作詛同側據反釋名云祝属也以善惡之辞相屬著也詛阻也謂使人行事阻限於言也）。

Invocations and curses (祝詛: In the *Shuowen jiezi* it is written as 詶, pronounced with the fanqie *zhi* + *shou* [zhòu], meaning to curse. In ancient script written as 詛; now written as 詛, pronounced with the fanqie *ze* + *ju* [zù]. The *Shiming* says: 'To invoke (祝) means to bind (屬), attaching words of good or ill fortune to someone. To curse (詛) means to impede (阻), causing someone’s actions to be obstructed by words.').
