抖擻（又作藪同蘇走反郭璞注方言曰抖擻舉也難字曰抖擻豰[愨-心+束]也江南言抖擻北人言豰[愨-心+束]音都穀反下蘇穀反律文作枓梀二形枓與極字同下梀音戍縛梀也又作朴之庾反斟也又梀山厄反梀木名也並非此義也）。

抖擻 (also written 藪, both sū-zǒu [蘇走 fanqie, dǒu/sǒu]. Guo Pu's commentary on the Fangyan says: '抖擻 means to lift up.' The Nanzi says: '抖擻 is [equivalent to] 豰[愨-心+束].' South of the Yangtze they say 抖擻; northerners say 豰[愨-心+束], pronounced dū-gǔ [都穀 fanqie] for the first and sū-gǔ [蘇穀 fanqie] for the second. In the vinaya text it is written as 枓梀; 枓 is the same character as 極 [=zhuó], and the second character 梀 is pronounced shù, meaning to bind. It is also written 朴, zhī-yǔ [之庾 fanqie, zhǔ], meaning to ladle. 梀 is also pronounced shān-è [山厄 fanqie, sè], the name of a tree. None of these carry this meaning).
