柴薪（仕隹反禮記收祑薪以供郊廣鄭玄曰大可折謂之薪小者合束謂之柴薪施炊爨柴以給燎也）。

Firewood (柴薪; [薪 is] fanqie: 仕 + 隹 [chái]; the Liji says: "Gather the sacrificial firewood to supply the郊-sacrifice"; Zheng Xuan says: "Large pieces that can be broken are called 薪 [xīn]; small pieces tied together are called 柴 [chái]; 薪 is used for cooking, while 柴 is used to supply torches").
