激發 [to surge and spur / to provoke] (Pronounced with the fanqie 經力 [jī]. The Zhuangzi states: "Pools have rushing waters (激)." Sima Biao says: "The current is swift." The Chuci states: "I am clear and impassioned (激), yet have no way to get through." Wang Yi says: "激 means moved or stimulated").
