Snake bite (虵螫; [虵 is] fanqie: 式 + 亦 [shì]; the Zilin says: "A crawling insect"; this pronunciation is used west of the Pass; also fanqie: 呼 + 各 [hè], which is used east of the Mountains; 螫 is fanqie: 知 + 列 [zhē], which is common speech in both north and south).
