磔手（古文㡯同知格反廣疋磔張也磔開也通俗文張申曰磔說文亦披磔也律文作桀渠列歹字林強暴也又作磔未詳何出）。

Spread hands (磔手; in ancient script 㡯 is identical, fanqie: 知 + 格 [zhé]; the Guangya says: "磔 means to stretch out; 磔 means to spread open"; the Tongsu wen says: "Stretching and extending is called 磔"; the Shuowen also says: "To tear apart"; written 桀 in the Vinaya text, fanqie: 渠 + 列 [jié]; the Zilin says: "Violent and cruel"; also written 磔, its provenance being unclear).
