卒生（倉訥反周禮云暴急也考聲云倉忙也遽音渠也正體作猝或作踤竝同經文作卒略而不備也字與兵卒相參故言之）。

Sudden birth (卒生: for 卒, the fanqie is 倉訥 [cù]. The Zhouli says: 'Sudden and urgent.' The Kaosheng says: 'Hurried and rushed; abrupt (遽 [jù]).' The orthodox form is 猝, or written 踤, both the same. The sūtra text writes 卒, which is abbreviated and incomplete; because the character is easily confused with a foot-soldier (卒), it is noted here).
