堆阜 (mounds and hillocks: the first character is [pronounced with the fanqie] 都雷. Wang Yi's commentary to the Songs of Chu says: 'Duī (堆) means high.' The Kaosheng says: 'The appearance of heightened earth; it also says duī means to pile up.' The Jixun says: 'The lofty appearance of mounds and hills.' The Shuowen jiezi writes it as 陮: 'Duīwěi (陮隗, [wěi pronounced with the fanqie] 五罪) means an earthen mound; it derives from 阜 with 隹 abbreviated as phonetic.' In the sūtra text it is written as 塠, a popular character. The second character, fù, has the pronunciation 負. The Erya says: 'A high, flat expanse is called lù; a great plateau is called fù (阜).' The Guangya says: 'A hill without stones is called fù.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A mountain without stones is called fù.' In ancient script it is written as 𨸏 or [白-日+(匚@一)], pictographs.)
