開闡（康姟反文字典說開通也廣雅明也說文張也從門并聲下昌演反韓康伯注繫辭云闡明也蒼頡篇闡亦開也說文云從門單聲也）。

Open and illuminate (開闡: the first is pronounced with the fanqie 康姟 [kāi]. The Wenzidian shuo says: "Kai means to open through." The Guangya says: "To make clear." The Shuowen says: "To unfold; deriving from 'gate' [門] with 并 as phonetic." The second is pronounced with the fanqie 昌演 [chǎn]. Han Kangbo's commentary on the Xici says: "Chan means to elucidate." The Cangjie pian says: "Chan also means to open." The Shuowen says: "Deriving from 'gate' [門] with 單 as phonetic").
