熟爆（下補各反音與博同廣雅爆熱也考聲云火乾也韻英云迫近火也或作曝或從皮作[曷*皮]並音博皆炙爆令乾也律文從尃作𤍿非也內外墳典並無此字譯者隨意作之）。

Roasting thoroughly (the second character is bào in fanqie from bǔ and gè; identical in sound with bó; the Guangya states that bào means hot; the Kaosheng states: drying over fire; the Yunying states: bringing close to fire; sometimes written as 曝, or taking the skin radical as [曷*皮], both pronounced bó; all mean roasting and parching to make dry; the vinaya text takes fū to make 𤍿, which is incorrect; this character is found in neither internal [Buddhist] nor external scriptures, but was invented at will by the translator).
