策勵（上楚格反說文馬箠也從竹束聲下力曳反韻英云勵勸勉說文作勱勉力也從力厲聲）。

To spur on and encourage (策勵; the first character is fanqie 楚 + 格. The Shuowen says: "A horsewhip; it takes radical 竹 and 朿 as phonetic." The second character is fanqie 力 + 曳. The Yunying says: "勵 means to urge and encourage." The Shuowen gives it as 勱: "To exert effort; it takes radical 力 and 厲 as phonetic").
