[禾*(离-〦+山)]膠（上恥知反考聲云[禾*(离-〦+山)]膠者擣木皮煎而作之可以黏捕鳥雀也似膠下音交顧野王云膠者黏也所以連綴物令相黏著也說文從肉從翏省聲也）。

Birdlime (䅻膠; the first character is fanqie 恥 + 知. The Kaosheng says: "Birdlime is made by pounding tree bark and boiling it down; it can be used to trap birds, resembling glue." The second character is pronounced 交. Gu Yewang says: "膠 means sticky; that by which things are connected together to make them adhere to one another." The Shuowen says: "It takes radical 肉 and 翏 abbreviated as phonetic").
