謲𭖪（上楚錦反考聲云以言陰相譏毀也從言參聲律文從土作墋非也下音桐篤反考聲云有所害也窖人草也恨也憎也說文從屮從毒毒亦聲也古文作[山/虫]從古之字從虫毒字從土從母毒音愛）。

Slandering and malicious (謲𭖪; the first character is fanqie 楚 + 錦. The Kaosheng says: "Covertly ridiculing and disparaging with words; it takes radical 言 and 參 as phonetic." In the Vinaya text it is written with radical 土 as 墋, which is incorrect. The second character is fanqie 桐 + 篤. The Kaosheng says: "Having intent to harm; a pitfall grass for trapping men; resentment and hatred." The Shuowen says: "It takes radical 屮 and 毒; 毒 is also phonetic." In ancient script it is written as [山/虫]; written in the ancient style it takes radical 虫; the character 毒 takes radical 土 and 母; 毒 is pronounced 愛).
