噉嚼（上談濫反廣雅噉食也或作啖下匠雀反正體字也廣雅嚼茹也字書咀也從口爵聲也）。

噉嚼 (The upper character is [pronounced with the] fanqie 談濫 [dàn]. The Guangya says: "To bite (dan) is to eat; also written 啖." The lower character is [pronounced with the] fanqie 匠雀 [jiáo], which is the standard form. The Guangya says: "To chew (jiao) is to masticate." The Character Books say: "To chew." Derived from mouth with jue phonetic).
