女醫(意基反集訓云醫意也以巧慧智思使藥消病也說文治病工也用藥必以酒行藥故醫字從酉酉者古文酒字也昔巫彭初作毉或從巫作毉)。

女醫 (Pronounced with the fanqie 意基 [yī]. The Jixun says: "Medicine (yi) is intent (yi); using cleverness, wisdom, and thought to apply drugs to eliminate illness." The Shuowen says: "An artisan who cures disease." In administering medicine, alcohol must be used to circulate the herbs, hence the character yi contains the component 酉; 酉 is the ancient graph for alcohol. Formerly, Wu Peng first devised healing (written 毉); it was sometimes derived from shaman (wu), written 毉).
