Open and low (敞庘: the first character is pronounced *chang* + *zhang* [= *chǎng*]. The *Kaosheng* says: "*Chǎng* means exposed, bright, and open." The *Shuowen jiezi* says: "To level high ground so that one can look into the distance." It is derived from 攴 with 尚 as phonetic. The second character is pronounced *ya* [= *xiá*]. The *Jixun* says: "*Xiāzā* [庘𰍹] means a low and small house." 𰍹 is pronounced *zhan* + *jia* [= *zhá*]).
