Pájué 爬爴 (scratching and clawing; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie bái + má, also written with shǒu 手 as 把. The Kaosheng says: 'Bǎ means to scratch.' The second character is pronounced with the fanqie guǐ + bì. According to handed-down tradition of sound and usage, there was originally no standard character; it means grabbing with the hands so as to cause injury).
