牽拽（上遣賢反玉篇牽引也廣雅挽也說文引前也從牛從冖冖音癸營反象牛縛也玄聲也下延結反廣雅拽極挽也從手曳聲從戈）。

Hauling and dragging (the first character has the fanqie qian + xian; the Yupian says: "牽 [qiān] means to draw along." The Guangya says: "To pull." The Shuowen says: "Drawing forward; it takes ox [牛] and 冖 as radicals; 冖 has the fanqie gui + ying, depicting the binding of an ox; phonetic in 玄." The second character has the fanqie yan + jie; the Guangya says: "拽 [zhuài] means pulling with all one's might; it takes hand [手] as radical and is phonetic in 曳, taking 戈 as radical").
