Installing a niche (安龕; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 坎含 [kān]; the Kaosheng says it means chiselling a pit into a cliffside to enshrine a Buddha statue; the Guangya says that 龕 means to contain; the Shuowen jiezi says it takes 'dragon' [龍] as semantic and an abbreviated 含 as phonetic).
