井蛙（下烏瓜反說文正體從黽作鼃古字也今從虫作蛙前第四卷中已釋）。

Frog in a well (井蛙): The second character has the fanqie 烏 (w-) plus 瓜 (-a). The standard form in the Shuowen jiezi is written with the toad radical (黽) as 鼃, which is an ancient character; today it is written with the insect radical (虫) as 蛙. It has already been explained in fascicle 4 above.
