(Peng's wings: the upper character has the fanqie 蒲 + 崩. The Kaosheng says: “The péng is a giant bird.” The Zhuangzi says: “In the northern ocean there is a fish named Kūn, which transforms into a bird named Péng; the péng's back spans several thousand leagues.” It takes “bird” as radical and péng as phonetic. The lower character has the fanqie 蠅 + 職; it means a bird’s wings, and is a phono-semantic character).
