窄陿（上爭索反考聲云窄亦陿小也古今正字從穴乍聲也下咸甲反禮記廣則容姦陿則思欲玉篇云迫隘不廣大也說文從阜匧聲音同上）。

窄陿 (Cramped and narrow: the upper character has the fanqie 爭 + 索. The Kaosheng says: “Zhǎi also means narrow and small.” The Gujin zhengzi says it takes “cave” (xué) as radical and zhà as phonetic. The lower character has the fanqie 咸 + 甲. The Liji says: “Broadness accommodates wickedness; narrowness induces desire.” The Yupian says: “Constricted and cramped, not expansive.” The Shuowen states: “Takes ‘hill’ (fù) as radical and qiè as phonetic; its pronunciation is the same as above”).
