安塹（僉艷反顧野王云今謂城池為塹也字書云城隍也說文坑也從土斬聲）。

Constructing a moat (安塹: pronounced with the fanqie 僉艷. Gu Yewang says: "Nowadays the moat around a city wall is called a qiàn [塹]." The Zishu says: "City moat." The Shuowen says: "A pit; it takes earth [土] as semantic classifier and zhǎn [斬] as phonetic").
