燒殯（賔牡反杜注左傳云殯窆棺也何休注公羊傳云徙棺曰殯說文云殯死在棺將遷葬尸柩賔遇之也夏后氏殯於作階殷人殯於兩楹之間周人殯於賔階也從歺賔亦聲也歺音矝）。

Shāobìn 燒殯 (cremating and entombing: [bìn is sounded with the fanqie] b- + [m]ǔ 賔牡反. Du's commentary to the Zuo zhuan says: 'Bìn 殯 means putting the coffin into the grave.' He Xiu's commentary to the Gongyang zhuan says: 'Moving the coffin is called bìn 殯.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Bìn 殯 is when the dead is in the coffin and about to be moved for burial, treated as a guest. The Xia lineage entombed them at the eastern steps; the Shang people entombed them between the two pillars; the Zhou people entombed them at the guest steps.' It has radical 歺 [decayed bone] and 賔 is also phonetic. 歺 is pronounced j- + [y]īn 矝).
