靦面（上天典反毛詩云有靦面目傳云靦姤也說文靦見也從面見聲也）。

靦面 ('ashamed face'): the first character is [pronounced] with the fanqie 天典. The Mao Shijing says: 'Having an ashamed face and eyes.' The Commentary says: '靦 (tiǎn) means feeling ashamed.' The Shuowen says: '靦 means to show oneself. It takes 面 (face) as semantic component and 見 as phonetic component.'
