舂擣（上束庸反顧野王云擣穀為米也說文云擣粟也從廾持杵臨臼杵省聲下刀老反說文云擣推也一云築也從手壽聲字書作舂燾）。

Pounding and pestling (for the first [syllable, the fanqie is] 束 + 庸. Gu Yewang says: "To pound grain to make rice." The *Shuowen* says: "To pound millet." It is composed of 廾 [two hands] holding a pestle over a mortar; 杵 is abbreviated as phonetic. For the second [syllable, the fanqie is] 刀 + 老. The *Shuowen* says: "*Dao* means to thrust; another authority says to tamp down." It is composed of 手 [hand] with 壽 as phonetic. Character dictionaries write it as 舂燾).
