Its remnant fringe (其𦆠): the second character is pronounced with the fanqie da-wei (di). It refers to the leftover remnants and thread-ends when weaving white fine cotton. The Shuowen states: "Leftovers from weaving; it takes 'silk' (糸) as semantic classifier and has gui (匱) as phonetic component."
