尨毛（上邈那反案尨毛西國麤惡毛也說文云犬之毛也又云雜色不純為尨也從犬彡聲）。

Shaggy hair (尨毛): the first character is pronounced with the fanqie mo-na (mang). Examining mang-mao: in the Western regions, it refers to coarse, poor-quality animal hair. The Shuowen states: "The hair of a dog." It also states: "Variegated colour that is not pure is mang; it takes 'dog' (犬) as semantic classifier and has shan (彡) as phonetic component."
