偽濫（上危䞈反廣雅云為欺也鄭注禮記云假也說文云詐也從人為聲䞈音匱下藍澹反考聲云濫假也不謹濡上也毛詩云不僭不濫也顧野王云汎濫於天下也說文云漬也從水監聲）。

偽濫 Spurious and fraudulent (the first character is wei + kui [wěi]; the Guangya says: "To deceive." Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "False." The Shuowen says: "Deceptive; [the character] derives from 'person' with 'wei' phonetic; kui has the sound kuì." The second character is lan + dan [làn]; the Kaosheng says: "'Lan' means false, careless and excessive." The Mao Shi says: "Neither transgressing nor overstepping." Gu Yewang says: "Spreading excessively throughout the world." The Shuowen says: "To soak; [the character] derives from 'water' with 'jian' phonetic").
