縈羅 entangled mesh: the first syllable is ying + ying fan [yíng]. The commentary on the Shijing says: “Ying means circling around.” The Shuowen says: “To reel and bind.” Derived from ‘silk’ (糸) with the phonetic ‘fluorescence’ (熒) abbreviated. 韏 is pronounced juan [juàn].
