鉆子 Tweezers (the first character is qiang + yan [qián]; the Shuowen says: "'Zhan' are iron tweezers." It also says: "To hold; [the character] derives from 'metal' with 'zhan' phonetic. The Vinaya text writes it with 'gan' as 鉗, which is the character for an iron neck-cangue, not the character for tweezers").
