揚簸（下波我反考聲云簸揚也音書云簸之揚之糠粃在前也詩云簸去糠者也說文揚米去糠也從箕皮省聲箕音機也）。

揚簸 Winnowing (the second character is bo + wo [bò]; the Kaosheng says: "'Bo' means to winnow." The Yinshu says: "Winnowing and tossing it, the chaff and husks fly forward." The Classic of Poetry says: "Winnowing away the chaff." The Shuowen says: "Tossing grain to remove the chaff; [the character] derives from 'winnowing basket' with an abbreviated 'pi' phonetic; ji has the sound jī").
