㴑流（上蘇故反詩傳云逆流而上曰㴑也又云㴑向也孔注尚書云㳂江而上曰㴑也說文云水欲下違而上也從水從𧩯省聲也）。

㴑流 'sailing upstream against the current' (the first character is fanqie 蘇故; the Shijing commentary says: 'going upward against the current is called 㴑'; it also says: '㴑 means facing toward'; Kong [Anguo's] commentary on the Shangshu says: 'going up along the river is called 㴑'; the Shuowen jiezi says: 'when water tends downward, to go contrary to it and move upward; it is formed from the water [radical] with 𧩯 abbreviated phonetic').
