Exorcising and praying (厭禱: the upper character has the fanqie *yu* + *yan*; the *Kaosheng* says: "𥜒 means to perform an expiatory sacrifice (穰)"; the *Shuowen* says: "It takes 示 as radical and 厭 as phonetic"; the canonical text written as 猒 is incorrect in meaning; the lower character has the fanqie *nai* + *lao*; Zheng Xuan's commentary on the *Zhouli* says: "Seeking blessings is called 禱"; the *Guangya* says: "To thank/apologize").
