牝牡（脾忍反說文畜母也雌也下莫苟反說文畜父也雄也飛曰雄雌走曰牡牡此一義也）。

牝牡 (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 脾 + 忍 [pìn]. The Shuowen says: "A female beast; female." The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 莫 + 苟 [mǔ]. The Shuowen says: "A male beast; male. Flying creatures are called xiong and ci [雄雌]; walking beasts are called pin and mu [牝牡]; this is one meaning.")
