弓法（居雄反世本揮作弓宋忠注云黃帝臣也山海經少昊生般始為弓此言是也說文以近窮遠故曰弓也律文從木作杛非體也）。

弓法 [gōngfǎ, method of making a bow] (fanqie: 居 [jū] / 雄 [xióng]. The Shiben says: 'Hui made bows.' Song Zhong's commentary says: 'He was a minister of the Yellow Emperor.' The Shanhai jing says: 'Shaohao gave birth to Ban, who first made bows.' This statement is correct. The Shuowen says: 'Reaching the distant from the near, hence it is called gōng [bow].' In the Vinaya text it is written with the wood radical as 杛, which is not the standard form).
