Bamboo stakes (𮅜簇) (fanqie: 古 + 胡. Sharpened bamboo tips placed on the ground. The second character has the fanqie: 楚 + 角. The 'Dongjing fu' says: "Hawksbill turtles are not speared (cu)." Xue Zong says: "They are not taken by stabbing with a barbed spear." The Guangya says: "Producers of sesame cakes use them to prick [the bread]." The barbed spear (shuo) has the fanqie: 叉 + 白; it is a type of spear).
