跳躑（上提彫反蒼頡篇跳踊也廣雅上也說文蹶起也躍也從足兆聲下程炙反俗字也說文從啇作蹢住足也顧野王云驟舉足而不進也從足形聲字）。

跳躑 (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 提 + 彫 [tiáo]. The Cangjie pian says: "跳 means to jump." The Guangya says: "It means to ascend." The Shuowen says: "To spring up; to leap." It takes the foot radical [足] and has 兆 as its phonetic component. The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 程 + 炙 [zhí], which is a vulgar character. The Shuowen writes 蹢 with 啇, meaning to halt one's feet. Gu Yewang says: "To lift one's foot repeatedly without advancing." It takes the foot radical [足] and is a phono-semantic character.)
